 commission calculation = Commissionable Product Offer (step 2 below) * Commission Preference amount based on the item type (see steps 3, 4, 5, & 8 below) * the level employee multiplier (step 7 below) that's also based on the item type (see steps 3, 4, 5, & 8 below) .
  1. Products > Product Data > Commission Preferences Commission Preferences
    1. things to note:
      1. this is a prerequisite to being able to set up commissions within the other areas of the app
      2. This is the section of system where you will create your commission preferences, once established you can assign separate commission structures to different product offers
      3. The multiplier default value is 1, which means the commission amount paid is multiplied by 1 and is not subject to any addition commission.
        1. are not in percentages, they are straight multipliers
          1. If you put 100 as a multiplier then the rate will be $1.00 * 100 = $100.00. 
          2. If you put 1.5 as a multiplier then the rate will be $1.00 * 1.5 = $1.50.
  2. Products > Product Data > Product Offers > Commission tab Product Offers
    1. things to note:
      1. step 1 is a prerequisite to being able to set up which offers are commissionable

    1. things to note:
      1. may also be adjusted from customer record Customer Sequence
  5. Products > Product Data > Installments/Sets Product Offer Installments

    1. things to note:
      1. This can be factored based on performance, length of employment or whatever parameters the client decides. This will multiply commissions based on what’s been set for that employee above and beyond what’s been created for the product offer itself (step 2 above)
      2. The system does not have the ability to split a commission amount between 2 users.
      3. employee commission levels are not in percentages, they are straight multipliers
        1. If you put 100 as a multiplier then the rate will be $1.00 * 100 = $100.00. 
        2. If you put 1.5 as a multiplier then the rate will be $1.00 * 1.5 = $1.50.

    1. step 6 is a prerequisite to being able to set up which commission levels are able to be set on individual employees
  8. Campaigns > Advertising > Maintain Scripts > Product tab Manage Scripts: Product Offers
    1. things to note:
      1. will determine which orders are paid the commissions
        1. example - do you want to pay commission on orders that are on hold, or only in a final status?
      2. will determine item type the offer is sold as
        1. exception - if an item is added to an existing order, the item type must be set on that item specifically, else it will default to ORD

      1. If ZERO commissions are generated for an order,  it will still appear to the Sales Agent as a $0 commissionable order in Sales Commissions Overview.

      1. Commission will be pending (credits and debits) until item (returns included) reaches a final status, and then the system will determine if commission should be paid (or revoked) or not. If not, the final status will be NONE.
