Below you will find step by step instructions on how to setup notifications within your instance. The links will give you more detailed instructions on HOW to do each step. This article is intended to be a quick guide. Setting up Notifications 5.1
- Firewall Request Form - this allows communication between OLX and your SMTP server
- Create Grid - here you will configure the data you want displayed in the email to be sent
- Setup Notification - this is where you configure the email to be sent, inserting the grid previously created
- Set Event Configuration - this step tells the system when to send the email notification created in step 3
- Edit Preference - this is where you will make sure the smtp credentials are correct
- Email Profiles is where the SMTP settings are located within Orderlogix
- Prepare Notification - merges all customer specific alias information into the templates created **this step has to be done before you are able to schedule automation
- you can create a schedule to prepare notifications see step 7
- Set Schedule - Automated Delivery - here you can create custom schedules for email and/or internal notifications; eliminating the need to manually prepare and send them

- Adjust Job type = Notification Delivery
- Remove Job Name
- Purpose
- make sure credentials are good
- make sure all notifications sent - if they did not send you can try to force a send via Processing > Notifications > Notification Management > Send Email/API

you'll want to set the end date to 24-48 hrs prior
This allows you to send notification batches they may have gotten "stuck" due to an address that was formatted incorrectly.
You will not be able to send the batch that has the incorrect email but you will be able to send other batches that got stuck as well
Purge Notifications
Processing > Notifications > Notification Management > Purge Notifications
you'll want to set the end date to 24-48 hrs prior
if there are still notification showing that need purged this is a good indication you may need to review how you have your schedule setup
the first time you start looking at this you may need to decide how far back you are wanting to review and go ahead and purge anything showing up to that date.
