What Is Email Profiles
Email. We all would agree that it plays a huge part in our business and daily lives. According to statistics in 2020 212+ billion emails are sent/received daily. The average business emails that were sent/received daily per person was reaching a staggering number of 131. Those numbers were from 2020 and are only increasing every day. Email is a major factor to consider when incorporating any business opportunity. Here at Orderlogix we make sure you are able to communicate with your business partners and customers via email as easily as possible.
We are excited to announce a new feature brought to you in 5.1 called Email Profiles! This new feature cleans up and organizes SMTP information making it easy to find what you're looking for.
I know, I know. If you've been with Orderlogix prior to 5.1 you're thinking "Now I have to remember a new location", the answer is No! We've linked the former locations to the new location. No matter where you go, you get to where you need to be.
Making The Connection
What Are The Default Profiles Used For?
- DefaultNotificationProfile is used when you setup Notifications in OrderLogix
- DefaultDeliveryProfile is used when setting up scheduled Jobs to email results outside the system
Where Will I See This Within OLX?
5.0
Lets take a stroll down memory lane.
In 5.0 SMTP server information for the DefaultDeliveryProfile was setup at Company Data > Company > System Preferences > Delivery/Default tab.
SMTP server information for the DefaultNotificationProfile was setup at Company Data > Notifications > Notifications Management > Edit Preferences.
If the SMTP information changed you had to remember which location to go to, depending on which profile you needed to update. If changes needed to be made to both profiles you had to navigate to both locations. This was time consuming, not to mention frustrating at times.
5.1
Now let's cruise through the new and enhanced 5.1.
Navigate to Company Data > Company > Email Profiles
You now have a one stop access to all SMTP server setups used within your Orderlogix system.
