How to Use Drop-Down Lists in OrderLogix Version 5.0

How to Use Drop-Down Lists in OrderLogix Version 5.0

An enhancement that was introduced with version 5.0 of OrderLogix are

drop down lists that efficiently load a large amount of data. In

prior versions of OrderLogix, drop down lists would include every

eligible item. For instances with many items, this would create a

large load on the application in effort to populate the list with all

of this data. Now, in versions 5.0 and newer, you will see filtered

results in the drop-down lists available in many parts of the

application.

These drop-down lists are limited to load only 100 results at one time

to decrease the strain placed on the application in order to populate

the list. If you have more than 100 items available, you will only see

the first 100 display. Don’t be alarmed if the item you are looking

for is not included in this list. The unseen items are still available

for you to select, it just requires you to take one extra step, which

is the use the search bar filter.

The drop-down lists have a built in search bar style filter at the

top of the list. This makes it quicker for you to locate the item you

are wishing to select instead of scrolling through the list searching

for it as was required previously. Type four or more characters that

match the item(s) you are looking for and the results will filter and

display only results that match the characters you have entered, up to

100 items.

In the example below, we are using the new drop-down list to add

Product Offers to a script. This instance has 35 offers, so all of the

offers in the instance do initially display in the list. Locating the

offer we are wishing to add to the script is easier when we use the

filter bar to narrow the results only to Offers with “glov” in the

name.
