Navigate to Company Data>Inventory>Unit of Measure. The Unit of Measure list displays the code for each defaulted measurement as well as the description. Units of Measure are used to define how Inventory Items are stored within given warehouse locations,  as well as the different ways that suppliers will offer to sell an inventory item.


  • Click the  'Add new button'  if you need to add a new Unit of Measure outside of the defaulted list. The Unit of Measure Edit window will open up:


  1. Enter the code for the Unit of Measure, which is what will be visible when associating it to other inventory sections.
  2. Enter a description for the Measurement.
    • To Save the current unit of measure and close the edit window, click the  save button.
    • To Cancel current changes to the unit of measure and close the edit window without saving, click the  cancel button.
    • To Delete the current unit of measure, click the  delete button.
    • To Print the unit of measure, click the  print button.
