Release Only On Prior Paid

 When setting up installments there is an option to “Release Only on Prior Paid”. This option allows OrderLogix to withhold releasing the next installments if the customer has not had a successful payment on the prior installment.

When this option is selected, the installments will initially be held in the status Item Auto Hold. Then once the prior installment is paid, Pre-Payment Processing will release the following installment and place it in Item Reg Hold status with a release date matching the number of days set on the installment set up.

You may wish to enable this setting on your installments if your installment payments should become due to you customer based on the payment dates rather than the initial order date.

Note that this may delay the payment schedule if any payment attempts decline. This may affect Continuity shipments, as unpaid installments are considered to be outstanding items.
