When setting up Product Offer Installments, there are several
methods that are used when charging customers. This Article will cover
how to set up two of the most common installment pricing scenarios.
EVENLY DISTRIBUTED PRICING - Many companies will charge the same
price for each installment. If you are setting up an offer like this,
you will want to use the "Distribute unit price over each installment"
link which is located next to the unit price at the top of the Product
Offer Installment setup window. This will automatically distribute
the pricing evenly between the number of payments.
TRIAL PRICING - Trial offers may charge shipping and/or a reduced
price for the first installment and then will break the remainder of
the unit price between the future charges. Prices of each of the
installment lines 2+ can be edited by clicking the green edit pencil
beside the installment number to specify payment amounts. Any excess
from the full unit price will be allotted to the first installment.
