Modifying Continuity Sequences that are already tied to customer

Modifying Continuity Sequences that are already tied to customer

Once a continuity sequence has been set up for a given "starting

offer" and that offer has been placed on orders, it can no longer be

"modified" by clicking into the edit pencil and changing the sequence

offer attributes. If you attempt to do so, you will get a message that

says "This sequence is currently in use by one or more continuity

subscriptions. Because it is in use, editing of the product offers in

this sequence is disabled." The screenshot below will display this

with the bold red box around the verbiage:

In order to make any changes to the continuity, (without effecting the

customers that are on the current plan) the continuity sequence will

need to be deleted by clicking the edit pencil icon and then clicking

the delete button (which will deactivate the sequence, thus still

displaying in list when "show inactive" is selected) on the bottom of

the pop up screen. Tip: It is recommended to do this during a time

when you will not have many orders being submitted which allows you to

make the change fairly seamlessly without new customers being

effected. Once you have deleted the current continuity sequence, you

can then set up a brand new one using the same starting offer and

attaching the sequences with the desired changes. This would mean that

all new enrollment customers from the time that you set up the new

sequence will be effected by the change, and all customers that placed

an order for the starting offer before the new one was created will be

on the previous continuity plan. Reports will reflect this as well.

Sometimes a "back fill" will need to be conducted by a programmer by

OrderLogix support in order to update the existing customers to the

new changes so if that is to occur it will need to be communicated in

a helpdesk ticket. If you only want the changes to effect new

customers that place orders from the day of the change forward, then

nothing is needed from the OLX team.
